About Jeanine
Jeanine Kinsey, CS was declared blind at birth with no hope of ever seeing. Through perseverance and faith her mother proved to the doctors that they were wrong. The lessons she has learned over the years have given her the confidence to overcome many obstacles and now she shares the concept of living Blind Sighted with her audiences.
Jeanine was raised in a military family. Her father served for over 28 years in the Army, and the family was stationed at several posts over the years. They spent most of the last 8 years of her childhood at Ft. Hood, Texas where her father eventually retired. She is the oldest of 3 girls, with twin sisters. One of them serves as Program Director for a Girl Scout Camp in Colorado with her family, and the other is a teacher living near her parents in Texas with her family.
Jeanine was an honor’s student in school and graduated in the top 3% of her class. While in High School she earned her Girl Scout Gold Award, something only 6% of Girl Scouts achieve. After High School, she was accepted to the Honor’s College at the University of Houston on an Academic Scholarship. She later earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Administration from Trinity International University in Miami, Florida.
Jeanine has more than 20 years experience in web development and computer programming. She served as the President of Open Source Web Pros, a website development company from 2007 to 2010. At that time, she and her husband merged their company with UpStart Internet Marketing where she serves as a Project Director.
Jeanine currently serves as a leader with the Boy Scouts where she serves as an Internet Advisor, Unit Commissioner and Trainer. She is also active with Toastmasters International where she has served in several club officer positions, as District Treasurer and District Webmaster.
Jeanine and her husband currently reside in Florida with their two adult children.
